How does iStudent work?
The programme involves your institution, AT COMPUTERS as an Apple Solution Expert and Apple Financial Services, and can be tailored to suit the requirements of each individual institution. Students can join the programme at the beginning of each term or semester, as determined by the institution.

What equipment does iStudent offer?
Student offers the iBook and PowerBook portables with an AirPort Extreme Card for wireless networking. The AppleCare Protection Plan, which gives you three years of Apple-certified service and support, A comprehensive insurance package covering the computer for repairs or a replacement if it goes wrong, gets damaged or is stolen.

How much does iStudent cost?
This depends on the equipment you choose and the sub-leasing agreement between the student and institution. Basically the student rents the portable from the institution for a fixed period and fixed sum.

What happens at the end of the rental period?
Once the rental period is over, the institution will have three options:
1.    Return the equipment to Apple Financial Services
2.    Extend the rental period (if applicable) or
3.    Pay a maximum of £50 to take ownership of the computer, which it can then transfer to the student.
